Today, a big sister in the #Marvin community who is not well off had her wallet stolen, which made the already poor family even worse! After the community members repeatedly confirmed the truth of the matter, the community members launched a fundraising campaign for this big sister! Our Puppies & Marvin community has always been a charitable and friendly community. We have also been carrying out charitable and caring actions to make the blockchain more warm!
As digital currency becomes more and more popular, wallet security is also a very important issue. Theft incidents have occurred around me, including myself. Here are some of my experiences in using wallet security!
1. The wallet must be backed up. Write down the mnemonic words or private keys on paper. Do not take photos, do not copy and paste directly, and do not save them on your phone or computer! Do not transfer them over the Internet!
2. If conditions permit, you can use a blank Apple phone, only download tp, im, or web3 wallets, create several wallets, and store the valuable coins separately in several wallets. Purely hoard coins, no transactions or interactions! Of course, the premise is to identify not to download fake wallets! Keep the mnemonic words safe! Usually disconnect from the Internet!
3. If you want to trade on the chain, create a new wallet for each new coin you trade. If the coin is valuable and you want to hold it for a long time, transfer it to the hoarding wallet. After selling it, transfer the coin away, then delete this wallet! Try to have one coin and one wallet! Of course, hunting everywhere is also a high risk, try to do less hunting😅
4. If there are coins or nfts of unknown origin in the wallet, do not click or authorize them, including unknown links at ordinary times!
