A long-silent Bitcoin investor has recently shocked the market. He purchased 2,000 Bitcoins in 2010 for just $0.067 each, with a total cost of only $134. Today, the price of Bitcoin has soared to $93,445, making these "digital gold" worth as much as $176 million.
According to foreign media reports, the investor had not sold any of his holdings in the past 14 years, but on the evening of the 14th of this month, he took action for the first time, moving all his Bitcoins to the U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, and then distributing them to 50 different wallets, possibly preparing for a sale.
