People who work in the cryptocurrency industry had better learn English well, otherwise you will easily receive only second-hand information. It is not possible to effectively improve English by brushing English push every day. The most important thing is to deepen memory and understanding through maximum repetition. Here are some of my personal learning experiences:
1. Scenario-based learning
Imagine yourself as an American elementary school student with a poor foundation, starting with "Peppa Pig". If you have a good foundation in English, you can choose dramas such as "Desperate Housewives" and slowly improve your language level.
2. Find interest-driven
Don't just memorize words. The best way is to learn through content you like. For example, I started with "Prison Break", listening to the lines in the drama, imitating the pronunciation of the characters, and analyzing their language expressions. In this way, I learned while watching the drama, and I remembered many English words and phrases unconsciously.
3. Prepare videos and scripts
Pick sentences from your favorite dramas or movies. I usually buy scripts online (very cheap, usually a few dollars), and then print them out. This way, you can watch and compare, which helps memory.
4. Extreme repetitive practice
Step 1: Start from the first episode and listen to it repeatedly at least 20 times;
Step 2: Check the script and learn the words and sentences you don’t understand;
Step 3: Continue to listen repeatedly until you fully understand;
Step 4: Say the lines synchronously with the screen and imitate the pronunciation;
Step 5: Use the newly learned words and sentences in practice;
Step 6: Repeat steps 1-5 for each episode;
Step 7: Finally, listen to the whole show more than 10 times to consolidate your memory.
If you are not interested in some dramas, you can also choose other representative dramas to practice. For example:
"Peppa Pig" or "Charlie's Diary": These cartoons have a slower speaking speed and standard grammar;
"Housewives of the Lower Class" or "Young Sheldon": Rich resources and authentic American English;
"Friends": Although some sentences are difficult, there are many foreign memes in it, which is also suitable for learning authentic English.
Through these methods, English proficiency will gradually improve, especially listening and speaking will have obvious progress.
