We all go through rookie mistakes at some point, and I was no exception.
I'll tell you, a few weeks ago, just when the whole $HMSTR airdrop boom started, I needed some $TON and because the Toncoin Dapps ecosystem is still very small, in the sense that there is not much interoperability with other blockchains, it was kind of complicated for me to exchange another token for Ton.
What solution did I find? A kind of cumbersome, but effective one.
Ultimately, in order to have some TON in my wallet and thus request my hamter tokens, I deposited some Sats to my #Binance account using the Lightning Network and then converted them into Ton and made a withdrawal of funds.
Why did I go through this process when I could request my tokens directly from an exchange and not need to pay a fee? because when I made my process to request my tokens I chose binance as the default exchange and then when making the withdrawal it presented errors, leaving me without the option to withdraw it to another exchange.
Returning to what is important and the topic I am here to comment on, doing this process I made a rookie mistake then managing to exchange my sats for ton, withdraw them to the wallet and swap my hamter tokens for ton, what was the mistake? Well, since toncoin does not yet allow converting ton for btc on the lightning network, I chose to send my #TON💎 back to binance, in order to exchange them for #btc and withdraw funds to my wallet through the LN network.
However, it turns out that I forgot to include the memo that Binance requests when depositing the Ton token into the Spot wallet, which is why my funds are not reflected, despite having sent them to the correct deposit address.
This led me to the need to request customer service. An option that I had not used since my beginnings on the Binance platform. Now I find myself with the request made while waiting to solve the problem presented, everything looks very good at the moment.
