After Satoshi Nakamoto, the "father of Bitcoin", created Bitcoin in 2009, he made the first Bitcoin transfer, transferring 10 Bitcoins to the whale wallet of the late early developer Hal Finney. But on Monday (September 30), the wallet transferred out 10 Bitcoins, and has transferred out a total of 46 Bitcoins since September.

According to monitoring data from the on-chain tracking platform iChainfo, the whale address marked as held by the late early Bitcoin developer "Finney" transferred another 10 bitcoins, equivalent to approximately US$645,000, to the exchange Kraken on Monday.

Data shows that since the address ended its ten-year silence on September 1, a total of 46 bitcoins, equivalent to approximately US$2.97 million, have been transferred to Kraken, which once sparked heated discussions in the community.

However, since he said before his death that the private key of the address was stored in a safe and left to his children, it is speculated that his family is carrying out the relevant operations. There are currently about 1,179 bitcoins in his wallet.

It is worth noting that when Finney Wallet was dumping its stocks, Bitcoin experienced a sharp drop at the beginning of the week.

I believe that early investors in the cryptocurrency circle have heard of Finney’s name. He was not only the first person to receive Bitcoin, but also an important developer and pioneer of Bitcoin in its early days.

Looking back to January 11, 2009, Hal Finney released the first tweet on the entire Internet mentioning Bitcoin, "Running bitcoin", and Satoshi Nakamoto sent him 10 bitcoins.

Therefore, the view that Finney is Satoshi Nakamoto has continued to circulate in the Chinese and English crypto communities.

Finney is an American cryptographer, programmer and Bitcoin pioneer. After studying all the information about Satoshi Nakamoto, Bloomberg senior analyst Eric Balchunas tweeted in August 2021 that he judged Finney to be Satoshi Nakamoto himself.

He also shared an article Finney published online in 1993, saying that the latter mentioned the idea of creating cryptocurrency trading cards in the article, the principle of which is similar to the current NFT.

Unfortunately, this reasoning may never be verified today.

Finney died of ALS in 2014 at the age of 58. For many years, Finney has been suspected to be Satoshi Nakamoto, but before his death, he was interviewed by Forbes. When faced with questions from reporters, he denied that he was Satoshi Nakamoto through his eyes.

But whether he is or not, it cannot erase his great contribution to the world of cryptocurrency.

Ben Armstrong, founder of the well-known Youtube channel BitBoy Crypto, previously wrote: "Why do I say Satoshi Nakamoto is dead? Obviously, Finney is the leader of the Cypherpunks group that created Bitcoin. Adam Back, Julian Assange, Timothy May and Craig Wright are likely to be involved. Finney holds the private key to Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet, but he is dead."

This is why BitBoy suddenly announced on Twitter in 2022 that Satoshi Nakamoto was dead.

In addition, analyst and Cinneamhain Ventures partner Adam Cochran posted several posts on Twitter earlier this year, explaining the emails exchanged between Satoshi Nakamoto 15 years ago and revealing the possible relationship between Finney and Satoshi Nakamoto's identity.

He wrote: "I have always believed that Finney was the main figure behind the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, with perhaps 1 or 2 other minor characters, and I think the disclosure of the email records with Satoshi Nakamoto by Martti Malmi, an early collaborator of Satoshi Nakamoto, greatly supports this."
