Thinking about whether to short in advance
Now everyone is discussing possible callbacks, and many friends asked me whether they can short in advance. I don't think it is recommended to do so.
At present, the upward trend of the market has not ended, and there is no obvious peak signal, indicating that the rebound is still continuing. Since the rebound has not ended, it is possible to rush higher again, or even to rise sharply and then pull back.
Today's greed index is 63, indicating that market sentiment is still not greedy enough. When the index approaches 80, it usually means that the risk of a big callback is increasing. Recall that the greed index was 74 when the 724 big cake fell sharply, and 77 when it fell on 6.7.
Of course, these are just observations based on past trends, but they also remind us that when the greed index approaches 75, we need to be vigilant, operate cautiously, and protect our chips.
