Two former employees of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will testify at a hearing on the politicization of crypto regulation on September 18. The U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Inclusion alleged that SEC Chairman Gary Gensler is pursuing a regulatory agenda that harms the digital asset ecosystem. Former SEC commissioners Dan Gallagher and Michael Liftik, as well as Bitwise President Teddy Fusaro, Duke University faculty members Lee Reiners, and Jennifer Schulp will also testify at the hearing.
