Chain abstraction is the next logical evolution of the modular ecosystem. If you participate in #Token2049, there will be many chain abstraction activities that you can't miss!
For a long time, we have been working hard for modularization. Although modular systems independently optimize and expand specific components of the blockchain stack, they also raise new problems: fragmentation between chains. As shown in the đ figure, we currently have nearly 80 L2s of all sizes, but they are not connected.
With the rise of Rollup solutions and RaaS, developing L2 has become very simple, such as Op Stack or Arbitrum Orbit or ZK Stack, which can be easily implemented. Just like V God now indirectly denies the path of L2, because the more L2s there are, the more dispersed the resources are, which is actually a harm to #ETH, rather than a benefit.
Next, chain abstraction will be the next focus of modularization. How to effectively connect each other's value islands and reconstruct a close-knit industry of the "global village" will become the key to saving #ETH! In the past year, the chain abstraction track has grown very rapidly, ranking first in growth rate among various sub-tracks, which deserves attention!
