Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency or virtual currency

The Bitcoin (BTC) is a type of virtual currency also called cryptocurrency. It is as if it were a type of internet money, but it does not have a centralized system of control over its commercial exchanges, such as a central bank, unlike what happens with “real world” currencies. The term bitcoin is also designated for the software used to create and control the currency.
