The decentralized derivatives trading protocol Synthetix announced on Wednesday (4th) the protocol’s governance committee election schedule for this month. It is expected to start voting on September 6 and start a new governance era on September 16. Synthetix also launched SNAXchain, an application chain based on Optimism Superchain infrastructure.
Synthetix said that the nomination process is already underway on SNAXchain, which is the first phase of building functionality into the chain. "As Synthetix expands to more chains and L2s, SNAXchain will serve as a neutral center for governance and protocol decisions and more." ”.
According to a blog post, Synthetix has partnered with Conduit to manage its chain infrastructure and with cross-chain protocol Wormhole to enable cross-chain messaging between SNAXchain and Optimism and the Ethereum mainnet.
