South Africa, located at the southernmost tip of the African continent, is the second largest economy in Africa. As one of the BRICS countries, in 2023, the bilateral trade volume between China and South Africa reached US$55.6 billion. China has been South Africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, and South Africa has also been China's largest trading partner in Africa for 14 consecutive years.
