Short-term holders (STH):
- Short-term holders are individuals who engage in buying and selling Bitcoin over a relatively brief period, usually less than one year. This category often includes traders who participate in regular transactions to profit from short-term price fluctuations.
- These holders typically use trading strategies such as day trading, swing trading, or scalping to leverage market volatility.
Long-term holders (LTH):.
- Long-term holders are skilled traders or entities that hold onto their Bitcoin for an extended period, typically over a year.
- Long-term holders usually adopt a buy-and-hold investment strategy, believing in the long-term potential of Bitcoin.
Observations :
-Highlighted Areas (Green Boxes): The green boxes and arrows signify recent shifts where STH realized cap changes have entered negative territory, falling below $-10 billion. This indicates an increase in selling by STH.
- ETH funding rates returned to a negative value, or around 0.00%, indicating that retail traders are increasingly interested in opening short positions ( negative or zero funding rates most of time bullish ).
- ETH negative netflow (Red Bars): When there are significant withdrawals, it often suggests that holders are moving Ethereum to cold storage or other off-exchange locations, which could signal anticipation of future price increases or a desire to hold long-term.
