Musk: Bitcoin does have its advantages
Tesla CEO Elon Musk participated in an X Takeover hosted by the Tesla Silicon Valley Owners Community on Sunday. Musk said during the discussion:
"I'm not trying to promote cryptocurrencies - I'm joking at most. If you see me promoting cryptocurrencies, it's definitely not me. I think Bitcoin does have its merits, and some other cryptocurrencies may as well, and I'm I also like Dogecoin because I love dogs and memes.”

Musk and Trump
Both Musk and his supported presidential candidate Trump have a positive stance on cryptocurrency, and it was even reported that Musk had discussed cryptocurrency policy issues with Trump. However, Musk himself refuted such rumors at the time, posting on X:
"I'm pretty sure I've never discussed cryptocurrencies with Trump, even though I generally support measures that transfer power from the government to the people, and cryptocurrencies can do that."
