Compute-to-Data is one of the most important technologies for data exchange🤖
Today I want to remind you about one of the most important features of @OceanProtocol, namely Compute-to-Data.
Compute-to-Data technology is crucial because it allows the monetization of sensitive datasets without exposing the raw data itself. This is particularly important for datasets containing personal or confidential information, such as health records. By enabling compute access to the data rather than direct access, data owners can control which algorithms are run on their datasets, ensuring privacy and security.
For example, this could be used to vet potential business partners. Nowadays you need to collect a whole bunch of information from various registries in order to get a general impression of how reliable your potential partner is, especially if you are going to buy a product 100% prepaid.
With the help of Compute-to-Data it would be possible to create a common registry of companies, where they would upload their actual data, and their partners, with the help of computational algorithms, could get only the data they are interested in, such as:
- How much tax has been paid for a selected period of time
- Whether there are debts
- How much money is on the balance
- How the funds turnover for the selected period
And many other things that allow to understand whether it is an active company or a fictitious one. I think this could be used all over the world, it is something that is encountered everywhere.
