🤝 LayerZero has partnered with Google Cloud.
LayerZero will run Google Cloud oracle and configured by default starting September 19th. Thanks to this, every message sent between blockchains using LayerZero will be verified by Google Cloud.
💡 Different blockchains themselves operate in isolation from each other, which makes it impossible to transfer assets from one network to another. Cross-chain solutions such as LayerZero allow data to be transferred between blockchains. These solutions are called bridges.
While data inside a blockchain is difficult to falsify, data coming from the outside environment (when data is transferred from one blockchain to another) can be falsified. Now, to prevent this from happening, LayerZero will use an external verifier to confirm the veracity and reliability of the Google Cloud oracle information. Note that LayerZero has previously used other oracles, such as Chainlink or Polyhedra, and Google Cloud will complement their list and become the default oracle.
