BlackRock's RWA fund BUIDL has raised over $500 million. This is evidenced by#Etherscandata.
The full name of the fund is BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, within its framework a stablecoin was launched with dividends for holders. The#BUIDLtoken is backed by real assets - US Treasury bonds, US dollars and other traditional liquid instruments. From the yield on these instruments, BUIDL holders are paid dividends to their crypto wallets every day.
The fund itself was launched at the end of March and at the start attracted $245 million in investments. Since the end of April, the growth has been +$125 million. At the same time, the investment product surpassed its main competitor Franklin OnChain US Government Money Fund and maintains leadership in the segment.
In general, the capitalization of the segment of tokenized US treasury bonds has already reached $1.8 billion. The product has more than 5,000 investors.
And the growing popularity of these tools is understandable. Tokenization of real assets is a more understandable technology for baby boomers and Generation X. People born in the last century who have savings and are interested in investing. But they do not understand the virtual asset market. RWA is a bridge between the two worlds of finance and between the “old school” and new generations of investors.
