According to Odaily, Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett announced on platform X that Volatility Shares' leveraged Ethereum ETF (ETHU) has begun trading. Stuart Barton, co-founder of Volatility Shares, expressed his pleasure at the U.S. SEC's acceptance of cryptocurrencies. He emphasized the company's ongoing collaboration with the SEC to ensure the innovative new investment exposure enters the market.

Barton also hinted that ETHU could potentially pave the way for a 1x Ethereum spot ETF in the near future, similar to their 2x Bitcoin ETF (BITX). It's worth noting that Volatility Shares launched the Volatility Shares 2x Bitcoin ETF in June 2023. This new development marks another significant step in the integration of cryptocurrencies into mainstream financial markets.
