Mt. Gox Creditors Begin Receiving Coins, Market Impact Appears Minimal
The decade-long saga of the bankrupt Mt. Gox exchange is nearing its conclusion as creditors have started receiving their coins. Initial concerns centered around potential selling pressure from these creditors, which could negatively impact the market.
However, recent data suggests otherwise. A noticeable pattern of BTC withdrawals from Kraken, the platform handling the reimbursements, indicates a trend towards holding rather than selling. In the past 16 hours, approximately 5,250 BTC (valued at $348 million) were withdrawn from Kraken.
If this withdrawal trend persists, it may confirm that the anticipated selling pressure will be significantly less than expected, suggesting a more stable market outlook.
