$WIF No support here for a long way down. If we don't bounce soon I believe we will retest 1.2.

Not wise to long right now, finding the bottom is not easy. I will wait for a proper uptrend to form before I enter in a long position.

There is lower volume and lower liquidity over the weekends which usually results in a downward consolidation.

For now I am very much short. The only thing that can save this coin is a Monday open pump and possibly the news to come on Thursday and Friday from the Fed. Buying spot is okay, but still I think you can get a better price.

$WIF soft resistance around this price level indicates if it does touch 1.8 it will likely reject to the downside. We saw last night's markets correcting as I had anticipated as a result of overly excited markets. We possibly will see a US equity recovery tonight, if not we are in for a long ride down. Markets are still too excited about rate cuts. If WIF does cross 1.8 and tests over a few hours as support, a small long to 1.87-1.9 is possible but might not fit your strategy. #tradesafe

I think it's risky to try to find the bottom today and I personally would only feel for longs in the early bull cycle when markets are beginning to reverse with STRENGTH. $WIF I'm short to 2.35. Small trade, using a stop loss. Haven't seen much resistance/support near the 2.3 ish levels which I take to mean a freefall isn't ruled out.

$WIF Pretty much called it. We are just on a reprinting cycle of up and down. The range is tightening with each cycle every week or two until market finds a comfortable price before catalytic news. I don't think we will make a new local low, but we have not finished the down move yet. Strong resistance lies at 1.35, next level down is 1.30. If we break that, quite possible to see 1.15. We have to await US economic data though. Good data could offer some temporary relief but I'm hesitant to say we will hold that. US valuations at ATH and again with rate cut pricing, it is far too deep. #tradesafe

Principles of a successful trader from my personal experience

1. Having Rationale

You've heard this countless times but still never learn. Have a logical reason for taking a trade. It just needs to be a reason/confluence that you find to make sense, that is replicable and can be fine tuned over time. This replication and fine tuning creates your personal trading strategy and keeps you consistent.

It doesn't have to be complicated especially at the beginning. If you are a mean reversion trader, how far is the current price from your 25 MA for example. If you are a breakout trader, which key support and resistance levels are you looking at?

I also see people getting stuck on certain coins and refusing to trade their bullish/bearish views on established coins where their rate of success is much higher at no added cost. Think about your choices.

2. Patience and timing

Another principle we are all familiar with but let me put it to you slightly differently. You want to short ETH from 2700 resistance level for example, but you see the market move down slightly so you decide since your view is short, might as well enter earlier and not miss out.

Boom ETH rises against you and depending on your position set up, puts you in a drawdown. Imagine you entered in at 2580 and it pumps to 2700 before falling to 2600. You would've made money had you stuck to the original plan.

If the market continued moving downwards however, would you have made money? Of course! If it didn't would you have lost any waiting for 2700? No.

Have rationale, and have the patience to stick it out. Remember, no trade, no loss. Don't take trades you have little confidence in.

3. Discipline is KING

All of the above means nothing if you can't stick to it. Be disciplined and follow through. Not in line with your trading plan? Don't trade. Use a stop loss don't cope with praying for blessings. Have conviction but be logical.

If you find yourself overtrading, close the charts, read a book, go for a walk. SIT on your hands as I love to say. You can forget the rest but not discipline.
