My journey in Futures Trading

It has been a Rollercoaster, from making upto 50% returns on my total amount in a day numerous times to getting liquidated in a couple of hours.

Some lessons I have learned and would like to remind everyone else are:
1) Never bet against the market
2) Do thorough research before getting into any trade, especially ones with high leverage because the closer your liquidation, the more at risk you are if you don't have more money as backup in another wallet
3) Crypto is a Rollercoaster, you need to remember to enjoy the ride but still very careful
4) One of the most essential things I can tell anyone is that taking profits is one of the most important things

Before entering into any trade, set a target price, or a target profit and stick to it. Don't think just because it's increasing, it's going to increase forever. Emotional trading is what will definitely liquidate you and what can completely ruin you.

Futures Learning Update!

I have officially taken profit of 35% of my total capital in futures in 2 trades. Another thing I learned in the process was that I order to mitigate risks, it is important to start each trade with roughly 5-10% of your portfolio, not more unless you're willing to make it very risky. Starting with that allows you to keep increasing the amount in your position at lower costs, also known as Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA), which will allow your entry price to decrease overall. Alongside, if you do cross margin trading, your liquidation price will be much further away from the current price, which will reduce the chances of liquidation due to a correction in the market. I thought I'd document my learning process and my learning with everyone so that anyone who plans on starting futures trading without major risks is also able to learn from everything I'm learning.

It is important to remember that you should never go against the market, and also to remember to analyze the level of risk you're willing to take. Choose the leverage margin according to your risk appetite and to always do your own research before making any decisions. Also remember to not blindly follow any one person's calls, as in the end you are the one that will have to bear the losses and creators on Binance square generally are affiliated with and get cuts from certain coins, or are using to make a profit off of their positions by increasing trading volume.

Bitcoin Halving!!

We all know Bitcoin halving is in April, but one thing most people here don't know is that so is the XRP court case's most crucial hearing.

Bitcoin dipped to $62,000 today, but XRP is still currently trending and the reason behind that is:

The SEC's lawsuit against Ripple Labs, the XRP court case, is still ongoing but has reached a key moment.

The Issue: The SEC alleges Ripple sold XRP as an unregistered security, raising over $1.3 billion. Ripple argues XRP is a utility and not a security.

The ruling in July 2023: A partial victory for Ripple. The court found XRP sales on exchanges likely weren't securities, but sales to institutional investors might be.

The Current Situation: Both parties are submitting briefs on "remedies," which means arguments for penalties against Ripple (if any are to be paid). The deadline for these briefs is April 29, 2024. The judge on the case, Judge Torres, will then decide on the appropriate penalties, likely after May 6th.

This case has major implications for the crypto industry as it clarifies how regulators view cryptocurrencies.

Differences between Cross and Isolated Margin Trading!!

Before entering any new market, you should know everything inside out without any doubt. A very basic question I couldn't answer or figure out was 'What's the difference between Cross and Isolated Margin??" I spent a couple of hours researching but nowhere could I find a proper explicit basic answer for both, after which I finally had a breakthrough. Thought I'd put it here in as simple words as possible in order to make it easily accessible for everyone.

Isolated Margin Trading:

Isolated margins are a great strategy to take a risky position without losing your prized assets in the process. This allows you to open a single position that is quite literally isolated from your other accounts. Whatever happens within this isolated margin position will never affect your remaining portfolio. 
A good isolated margin example is taking a chance on a new cryptocurrency or betting on a high-risk price variance on the established market like $AEVO . In both cases, it is wise not to put all your eggs in one basket. Utilizing an isolated margin account will give you a chance to take this risk and acquire the desired leverage without compromising anything else. 

Cross Margin Trading:

Conversely, we have a cross-margin mode that flips the concept entirely. Imagine that you already have a list of margin positions and are interested in pursuing one more. However, your margin requirements have become too steep, and it’s almost impossible to cover the initial margin and maintenance margin assigned to your position. So, what do we do in this case? Do we halt our trading efforts for the foreseeable future? No. 
With cross margin mode, traders can consolidate their positions with a unified margin balance. Simply put, if you have ten different positions using the cross margin mode, they have a shared margin balance. This option allows traders to add new portfolio positions without seeking significant liquidity.

Futures trading!

I have always been a spot trader. I have been in the Crypto market since over 4 years now, riding the highs and lows, made a lot of money and also lost a lot of money because of Terra. I had never considered Futures as in my head, it was a risk I could not handle. I have spent the last couple of months researching deeply, looking and understanding calls, how other investors make their futures trading decisions and what goes on behind the scenes to make that decision. After all that hardwork, I spent some days playing around on demo accounts where you don't use your own money, it's imaginary money and you can use it in order to learn futures trading on many platforms.

I have finally made a decision to start Binance Futures. I will share my learnings with you here as they go on and I will share the positions I'm taking as well. Remember, none of it will be investment advice as myself am also just starting up, but one advice I've heard from every single investor was: Never bet against the market, not unless you have the capital to manipulate it yourself. This is the single most important lesson I think anyone can learn regarding Futures.

Decision-making.

With the way the crypto market is currently going, it is becoming increasingly difficult for everyone to decide what to do with their investments. First thing you need to decide is if you're here for the long-term gains or the short-term gain.

1) Long-term gains:
If you're in this for the long-haul, these slight corrections shouldn't make a difference and you should be well-diversified in coins that have a good use case along with a nice backing. These coins are the ones that have higher intrinsic value than their current market price and the ones that are bound to increase in the long-run and aren't going anywhere. Depending on the size of your portfolio, you should be holding coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, diversification to the AI and game sectors and maybe 5-10% of your portfolio in highly volatile memecoins. In the long run, these are the coins that will make your portfolio value increase significantly.

2) Short-term gains:
If you're in the market for short-term gains, I'd suggest you start selling the coins that are in a hefty profit and start accumulating some USDT in order for you to be able to buy the dip, as there are signs of a bear-run starting, where you could see roughly a 15-20% drop in prices for coins in the next 1-2 weeks. This is because most coins, including Solana, are indicating that they are overbought currently.

ICP Update!

$ICP is a coin I'm holding and currently accumulating since I think it is criminally undervalued. We've seen it experience a decline of 6.08% in its USDT pair which is an extreme underperformance by the coin against the cryptocurrency market as a whole. ICP has recorded losses against both $BTC and $ETH . However, my ICP price prediction suggests that in the next week, we could seen it reach a price of $16.5 which would represent a 30.25% increase. However, since the Fear and Greed index is very high, it indicates that the investors are optimistic but also that the market may be heavily overvalued.

Due to the current market conditions and the unpredictability I cannot give a guaranteed statement, but this is what my research indicates.

What Will Be Solana’s (SOL) Price?

$SOL has been on a strong uptrend in the past few days, and if $BTC had not experienced this drop, perhaps we could have seen $200 over the weekend. The strong hype from meme coins continues. This is causing people to demand more SOL Coin. In the last 24 hours, SOL Coin reached $188.98, almost hitting the long-anticipated $200 threshold.

At this stage, there are two scenarios. Either SOL Coin loses the $178 level and starts a deep correction towards $142. Or it reaches the $205 target, then the expected correction begins, and we see a move towards the ultimate goal of $126. With the Fed meeting next week, the likelihood of excitement waning seems more dominant.

SOLANA SET FOR ATH!!

Solana has broken past all immunent resistances that were expected and may now rally towards a new ATH which was previously $250. Although the indicators suggested that $SOL is overbought and should be expecting a downward fall soon till last night, since this new extreme upward rally, it is expected for Solana to go through the roof and rally onto a price above $250. No matter what the price of entry, everyone stands to gain a lot of money, even if they were to enter now!

Solana Bullish Momentum!

AEVO NEW LISTING!

AEVO was listed on Binance today for trading through the Binance launchpad roughly 12-13 hours ago. We saw the price rise to $3.5 and then saw it being maintained around the $3 price.

If you read the whitepaper and see the functionality, you will see the uses of the coin itself and you will see the projects worth. In my opinion, I think we are yet to see highs of $5-$7 in the coming days as investor confidence increases and $AEVO maintains it's price in the meantime.

Along with the increased daily trading volume increasing due to the coin being listed on Binance, a much higher price is expected in the coming days as the coin has much more potential.

Reference to previous post!!

I had predicted a $SOL correction to $135 would be expected and we saw Solana touch $136 and then bounce right back up to trade in the early 140's range. If you listen to my call and bought the dip, I trust you've already made nearly a 10% profit in less than 24 hours.

Solana has been trapped under 150 for a while now and along with the new ATH set by BTC, we can expect a major price rally coming from Solana in the coming days. As Solana rises, we will also see other altcoins rising as Solana generally indicates the market trend before the rest of the market is able to reflect it. Keep an eye out for Solana price fluctuations and continue accumulating as we are to see a bullish rally go on for now and can get you at least another 15-20% profit in the next 2-4 days. The pump is expected to cause Solana's price to rise to the $165-170 according to my analysis.
