The president of the United States of America has signed into legislation the ban on holding bitcoins by certain public institutions in the US. This comes after the SEC sued and prosecuted big players like Sam Bankmanfried (founder and former CEO of FTX) and CZ (founder and former CEO of Binance). Ripple #XRP and Coinbase are still in court with the SEC on the classifications of certain crypto projects under securities.l, etc. This can be a huge setback for the industry, but most enthusiasts and players in the industry are very optimistic about the growth and potential cryptocurrency.

ALERT!!! BITCOIN MANIPULATION AHEAD,!!!!
Yesterday, after breaking through $64,500 quite well, Bitcoin had risen to the level of $65,300. However, with the bad news from the SEC regarding Robinhood, this rise suddenly turned in the opposite direction, and Bitcoin found itself at levels around $62,900.
I would like to say that this downturn will be short-term and express my expectation of a rise again in the near future.
This is no coincidence considering the show of interest of big players like Blackrock and Fidelity. The whales are manipulating the general market and it comes at no surprise to me, especially looking at the timing of the fall off of Bitcoin from 65k levels.
But I believe that we will surpass the $64,500 level again in the short term and maybe even reach $67,000. The $67,000 level will be quite favorable for me in terms of adding to short positions.
With this recent price action, I deduce that Bitcoin will plumet further below 60k within this month of May. I am however optimistic that Bitcoin will easily go above the 120k mark this year if we break above 70k within June.

News reaching me is that; Alexander Vinnik, a 44-year-old citizen of Russia who is being investigated for possible money laundering, has entered a guilty plea to charges related to his involvement in running BTC-e, one of the biggest virtual currency exchanges in the world.
As to the court records, Vinnik was instrumental in enabling the unlawful transfer of money via BTC-e, a platform that has been connected to an astounding $9 billion in bitcoin laundering.

CZ has been a force to reckon with in the crypto industry and still is. The government of Kenya has refused a request of the United States of America, to release Worldcoin of their list of suspended companies and corporations. The government of Kenya has raised the concern that, Worldcoin poses a threat to their national security, as it goes beyond the normal biometric data collection methods, instead they subscribe to weird collection practices like scanning the eyes of the users of the worldcoin platform. The first African test case of Worldcoin happened in Kenya before the ban. Other countries and activists are of the view that no company or organization should hold or possess such sensitive data.

More than $40m were reportedly withdrawn from the state-owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, or transferred to other banks, when customers found out they could take out more cash than they had in their accounts.
It took several hours before the institution froze all its transactions.
A cyber attack has been ruled out as the cause of the glitch.
