Ethereum’s Dencun upgrade, which introduces a scaling technology called proto-danksharding, is getting closer to its mainnet launch.

The upgrade was successfully deployed on the Sepolia testnet on Tuesday, with no major issues reported. This was the second testnet deployment, after Goerli earlier this month.

The final testnet, Holesky, is planned for Feb. 7. If everything goes well, the Ethereum team will announce the date for the mainnet launch of Dencun.
