According to PANews, SoftBank Vision Fund has agreed to invest $500 million in OpenAI's latest funding round. Prior to this investment, OpenAI was valued at $150 billion. This marks SoftBank's first investment in a company led by Sam Altman. Thrive Capital is the lead investor in this round, contributing over $1 billion. Other participants in the funding include Tiger Global, Coatue Management, and Microsoft.
