Meme coins on the BASE blockchain
The BASE blockchain is taking off.
Looking at TVL, it took 23 days to reach $2 billion from $1 billion. Short-term trading volume has surpassed Solana and Ethereum.
The reason is trivial for 2024 - meme coins:
✔️ The BRETT meme-coin (legendarily PEPE's best friend on the BASE blockchain) was launched - the coin quickly reached a $500 million capitalization. A rather trivial meme-coin is just a clone of PEPE. It has already been listed on Bitget, BitMart, GATE. io
✔️Мем-coin $TOSHI (capitalization over $200 million). There is something interesting here, firstly, the meme-coin is dedicated to a cat, which is already unusual for crypto, because all major meme-coins are one or another dogs and frogs.
Big plans for the ecosystem are announced, a lot of interesting functionalities are announced, starting with Launchpad and Swap and ending with Multi-sender and Token locker. I wouldn't take the plans about the ecosystem too seriously, since meme-coin isn't new and nothing has been done =) But the team at least had the time to spend an extra few hours on the site.
