LayerZero Labs has completed the self-reporting phase of its Sybil activity solution, a process designed to combat "airdrop farming." Out of over 2 million potential Sybil addresses initially identified, 803,093 were confirmed. These addresses will receive 15% of their expected token allocation, with the remaining 85% distributed among eligible users. The Sybil bounty hunting process, rewarding those who report at least 20 addresses, starts today and will run until May 31st. The final list of addresses will be shared once the bounty hunt concludes. LayerZero's ZRO was the first Hyperp to launch on the HyperLiquid perpetual futures decentralized exchange in September 2023.

The Ethereum burn address is a unique feature of the Ethereum blockchain that permanently removes Ether tokens from circulation. The address, represented as 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000, lacks a corresponding private key, ensuring any Ether sent to it becomes irretrievably lost. This process helps manage the overall supply of ETH, potentially creating deflationary pressure and influencing the cryptocurrency's value. The Ethereum burn address works by users or smart contracts initiating a transaction to the address, effectively removing the transferred ETH from circulation. The burning of ETH carries significant economic implications, potentially boosting ETH's value and helping stabilize transaction fees.

Despite skepticism from the crypto community about the approval of Ether exchange-traded funds (ETF) by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), some analysts believe there could be a surprise approval. Crypto trader Matthew Hyland suggests that the expectation of denial is already factored into the market. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas gives a 35% chance of approval, while the broader crypto community estimates a 7% chance. David Han from Coinbase, however, believes the odds are closer to 30-40%. He suggests that as crypto becomes a key election issue, the SEC may be less likely to deny the ETFs.

John Louis Anthony Bigatton, an Australian man and national promoter for the now-defunct crypto exchange Bitconnect, has pleaded guilty to promoting crypto lending services without holding an Australian Financial Services license. Bitconnect, accused of defrauding victims of over $2.4 billion, allegedly operated as a Ponzi scheme, promising high returns to investors who couldn't withdraw their money until the lending period ended. The platform shut down in 2018, with founders disappearing with investors' funds. A sentencing hearing for Bigatton is scheduled for July 5.

US Senate passes Congressional Review Act to review SEC's controversial crypto policy, SAB 121, with a bipartisan vote of 60 to 38. Despite President Biden's previous threat to veto any resolution to overturn the SEC policy, the strong support for the bill, including from Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, may force a rethink in the White House. The American Bankers Association has also urged Biden to sign the resolution into law. Biden now faces a complex decision, with the possibility of a 'pocket veto' if Congress is not in session. The SEC could also choose to revoke SAB 121, avoiding a potential veto showdown.
