According to Blackrock head of digital assets, clients view Bitcoin and Ethereum as complementary rather than substitute assets in cryptocurrency portfolios.

Today, BlackRock client base is primarily interested in Bitcoin and to some extent Ethereum . There is very little interest in anything outside of those two areas - Robert Mitchnick reported at Bitcoin 2024
