Continuu să revin la aceeași senzație de fiecare dată când aud despre ceva precum Midnight Network. Sună promițător la început, dar apoi mă surprind gândindu-mă câte ori am văzut idei similare înainte. Am fost suficient de mult timp pe aici pentru a observa aceleași cicluri repetându-se, aceleași cuvinte amestecate, aceleași povești recurate până își pierd greutatea. I keep coming back to the same thought whenever I look at something like SIGN, and it’s not excetement, it’s more like a quiet pause. I’ve seen this cycle too many times. New ideas show up wrapped in big words, promising to fix things that have been broken for years, and for a moment I want to believe it. But then I remember how often I’ve followed that feeling before, only to end up back in the same place, wondering why nothing really changed.
With SIGN, I find myself thinking about how tired I am of choosing between transparency and privacy. It’s always one or the other. Either everything is exposed in ways that don’t feel right, or everything is hidden so deeply that it becomes hard to trust anything at all. I keep asking myself why it still feels like a trade-off instead of something balanced. It shouldn’t be this hard after all this time, yet here I am still questioning it.

Then there’s the question of tokens, and even with SIGN, I feel the same hesitation. I keep asking myself if they are truly needed or if they are just added because that’s what everyone expects. Too often, they feel forced, like an extra layer that doesn’t solve anything but is still presented as essential. It makes me step back and question the intention behind it all.

It’s still easy to doubt what’s real and what isn’t. I expected more progress by now, but instead, it feels like we are circling the same problems with slightly different words.

Sometimes they feel like a cover for weak execution, like something meant to distract from what’s missing underneath. I don’t want to believe that, but I can’t ignore the pattern anymore.
So I keep watching SIGN the same way I watch everything now, quietly, without rushing to conclusions. I don’t trust the noise, and I don’t get pulled in by smooth narratives. I look for the breaking points instead, the places where things either prove themselves or fall apart. Maybe that’s why I still care, even if I sound tired. I haven’t stopped being curious, I’ve just stopped being easily convinced.
