EdgeCloud is thrilled to announce the availability of Theta Edge Node development and deployment blueprints on AWS Blockchain Node Runners. This significant step aligns Theta with other major blockchain platforms such as Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL), positioning it as a pivotal Web 3.0 hub supporting scalable smart contracts and distributed blockchain nodes.
This collaboration with AWS integrates Theta’s robust network of over 30,000 globally distributed edge nodes, boasting more than 80 Petaflops of GPU computational power, with AWS’s leading on-demand cloud computing platform. The result is a highly scalable, enterprise-scale infrastructure that is now even more accessible to both Theta community members and enterprise customers.

Following the launch of Theta EdgeCloud on May 1, the first hybrid cloud-edge computing platform for AI, video, rendering, gaming, and more, the Theta edge network is expected to expand significantly. Edge nodes are capable of executing a variety of computation jobs, including AI/deep learning model training and inference, video transcoding, relaying, and 3D rendering. By running a node, participants can contribute CPU and GPU computational and bandwidth resources to earn TFUEL token rewards.

Node Runner blueprints are infrastructure as code applications that facilitate the deployment of blockchain nodes in various configurations, including solo nodes and, in the future, highly available setups using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and TypeScript. These blueprints offer a turnkey solution for individuals, data centers, cloud computing platforms, and global companies to join the Theta edge network easily.
