According to Odaily, The Graph Foundation has successfully completed its Sunrise plan, marking the transition of The Graph, a blockchain data indexing and query protocol, to a fully decentralized data layer. The Sunrise plan was a three-stage decentralization process, where subgraphs were upgraded from centralized hosting services to The Graph's globally distributed network. This network is composed of individuals incentivized by tokens and independent companies acting as data indexers.

The Graph introduced subgraph technology in 2018 to index Ethereum, but it has now indexed over 55 chains, including Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, NEAR, and Cosmos. The completion of the Sunrise plan signifies a significant step towards decentralization in the blockchain data indexing sector, with The Graph leading the way with its innovative technology and expansive network.
