According to CoinDesk, Minima, a blockchain company that claims to be the only one light enough to operate entirely on mobile and device chips, is partnering with Influx Technology. The collaboration aims to integrate a data tracker into a McLaren GT4, a move that could potentially enhance racing performance and deter cheating. The 'DePIN Data Logger' collects real-time data on over 20 parameters such as vehicle ignition timing, braking, oil pressure, engine temperature, steering angle and rotation, and gear switching.

Minima's unique blockchain design secures the hash of the data, thereby verifying its history and integrity. The actual data is stored on the device or in cloud storage, independent of validators' permissions. Due to the low requirements to validate the data on the blockchain, any Internet of Things (IoT) device can operate a full node and collect its data. This allows the data to be verified by other nodes on the network while being stored on the device itself.

The Protocol Village, a regular feature of The Protocol, a weekly newsletter that explores the technology behind crypto, one block at a time, often features updates from project teams. The Protocol also hosts a weekly podcast. However, more details about the collaboration between Minima and Influx Technology are yet to be revealed.
