According to Foresight News, OpenAI has opened a new office in Tokyo and added a GPT-4 model optimized for Japanese. This new office will be OpenAI's first in Asia and the fourth globally.
The OpenAI Japan office will be led by Tadao Nagasaki, who joined the company after a 12-year tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led the cloud computing department in the region.
