According to Foresight News, Liquity has officially announced the adoption of the BUSL (multi-year commercial source code license) open-source license for its Protocol V2. This move allows independent teams, once approved, to perform friendly forks via the relevant source code on Ethereum or EVM-compatible chains. This process will be under the supervision of the team initiating the protocol.

The team aims to promote innovation and growth while maintaining the integrity of the core protocol deployment. They have stated that they plan to complete the final revision of the code and the mainnet deployment before the end of the fourth quarter of this year.
