Bull, Bear, or Bull-Bear? How do you define Bulls and Bears?
Throwing a brick to attract jade: What do you think about this round of increase? Bull, Bear, or Bull-Bear? If you think it's a Bull, and in a Bull market, fish, shrimp, and crabs drop significantly by 40-60%, do you still think it's a Bull?
(1) How do you define Bulls and Bears?
Some say that an increase of 100%-300% or more is a Bull, while a significant drop of 30% is a Bear? This creates a paradox, as often the Bulls you define also have declines of more than 30%, leading to moments of Bull and Bear that are confusing, and in the end, you find yourself bewildered.
Others say that making a profit means it's a Bull, while losing means it's a Bear? This is even more subjective, as many people lose money precisely at the end of a Bull market.
Some also claim that there are no Bulls and Bears, only Bull-Bear! Fish, shrimp, and crabs are Bull-Bear; we are Bull-Bear! Fish, shrimp, and crabs are destined to work under the Bull Demon King! Our life is only to work for the blockchain continent.
(2) How do I define Bulls and Bears using quantitative methods?
Elliott Wave Theory suggests that the upward waves, such as Wave 1, Wave 3, Wave 5, and Wave B, are Bulls; while Wave 2, Wave 4, along with Wave A and Wave C, are Bears.
This classification is quite objective, but is not accepted by most people. Because if classified this way, the sustainability of Bulls and Bears is not strong, and situations like "moments of Bull and Bear that are confusing, and in the end, you find yourself bewildered" frequently occur.
In my opinion, the Bull-Bear cycle can be divided into Short Bull, Short Bear, Medium Bull, Medium Bear, Long Bull, and Long Bear based on duration:
Short Bull and Short Bear last from 10 days to 2 months.
Medium Bull and Medium Bear last from 3 months to 6 months.
Long Bull and Long Bear last for over 7 months.
Based on years of experience and considering the sustainability of Bulls and Bears, I believe Bulls and Bears should be defined as follows:
Wave 1-2-3 is collectively referred to as Bull (Bull Body).
Wave 4 is termed as a Bear at a lower cyclical level (During the decline of the Bull Demon King or the mistress's Wave 4, the drop in fish, shrimp, and crabs can usually reach 40%-70%, which is a significant decline, so it's not an exaggeration to call it a Bear)
Wave 5 is termed as Bull (End of Bull)
The subsequent waves A, B, and C, as well as their variants, are collectively referred to as Bear (A Bear larger than Wave 4).
