These past few days, my computer has been inexplicably disconnecting, prompting that the network is unavailable, and then a few seconds later it’s fine again. It’s been frustratingly intermittent.

I restarted the router, scanned and restarted the computer, unplugged and replaced the network card, but the problem persists, which is really infuriating. Later, I thought it might be an IP conflict, so I downloaded a tool to scan the local network IPs, Advanced IP Scanner, and indeed found that my computer had an IP conflict with a rarely used old phone. I turned off the phone, restarted the computer, restarted the router, and the problem disappeared. What a hassle, wasting so much time.

I wanted to share this for friends who encounter similar issues. It seems that simply restarting the router does not guarantee that IP addresses will be completely cleared and reassigned; all conflicting devices must be turned off and restarted to get a new IP.
