Deep Tide TechFlow news, on December 19, according to CoinDesk, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) has filed a lawsuit against Craig Wright for alleged contempt of court, seeking a maximum prison sentence of two years. COPA proposed in court documents to impose an initial 18-month prison sentence on Wright, with an additional 6-month term if he fails to cease his contemptuous litigation behavior in a timely manner.
In March of this year, British High Court Judge James Mellor formally ruled that Wright is not the Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto, and issued an injunction preventing him from pursuing litigation regarding this matter in the UK and other jurisdictions. Mellor warned at the time: "Once the storm calms down, Wright is likely to ramp up his public promotion efforts again." However, Wright still filed a lawsuit in October regarding intellectual property related to the Bitcoin system, claiming damages of up to £900 million (approximately $1.1 billion).
