According to PANews, Elon Musk stated that the best way to ensure the accuracy of the Community Notes system is for the system to be fully decentralized and open-source, including both the code and data, and any manipulation would be as obvious as "neon lights."
Musk added that platform staff, including himself, have no editorial control over the system. The system operates by requiring historical opposing viewpoints to reach consensus in order for notes to appear on the platform.
