Prognozes par Fed procentu likmju samazināšanu ir būtiski mainījušās pēc piektdien publicētajiem nodarbinātības datiem. Tiek ziņots, ka Fed, kas gatavojas mīkstajai piezemēšanās, tagad ir spiesta smagi nolaisties.
Saskaņā ar Wall Street Journal piektdien publiskotie nodarbinātības dati, kas satricināja tirgus, bija galvenās bažas tiem, kas vadīja ekonomisko politiku Vašingtonā, un ASV ekonomikas scenārijs mainās. Tiek norādīts, ka Fed amatpersonām, kuras šī gada laikā gatavojas mīkstajai nolaišanās pakāpei, jaunāko datu gaismā var nākties doties uz cieto nolaišanos.
Investorus satrauc iespēja, ka Fed kavējas. To ietekmēja arī biržas kritums. Savukārt tā vietā, kad FED sāks pazemināt procentu likmi, sākts runāt par to, kāda apjoma samazinājums tiks veikts septembrī.
Banku analītiķi arī pārskatīja savas prognozes par procentu likmju samazināšanu. Citigroup un JPMorgan sagaida, ka Fed samazināsies par 50 bāzes punktiem septembrī, 50 bāzes punktiem novembrī un 25 bāzes punktiem decembrī, līdz gada beigām samazinot procentus kopumā par 125 bāzes punktiem.
Lēmums par procentu likmi nākammēnes tiks paziņots 18. septembrī. Pirms šīs sanāksmes augusta nodarbinātības dati tiks publicēti 6. septembrī un inflācijas dati tiks publicēti 11. septembrī.
