Secondo l’analista crittografico Jason Pizzino, questa divergenza tra Bitcoin e altcoin è prevista nell’attuale ciclo di mercato. Nel suo ultimo video su YouTube, Pizzino spiega perché l'aumento del prezzo di Bitcoin non segnala necessariamente un'ampia ripresa per il mercato delle criptovalute.
L'analista osserva che, sebbene Bitcoin abbia testato con successo un livello di resistenza chiave intorno ai 19.400 dollari, deve consolidarsi al di sopra di quel livello prima di confermare un trend rialzista. Quando si tratta di altcoin, Pizzino sottolinea che la maggior parte delle principali criptovalute sta toccando nuovi minimi rispetto a Bitcoin.

Ethereum in particolare è sceso al di sotto dei livelli chiave di supporto a lungo termine sulla sua coppia Bitcoin, indicando debolezza. Pizzino ritiene che la coppia ETH e BTC potrebbe toccare il fondo tra il 4-5% all'inizio del 2024, in linea con i cicli storici del mercato.
Anche altre importanti altcoin come XRP, Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC) e Chainlink (LINK) sono crollate rispetto ai massimi locali, sottoperformando Bitcoin. Secondo Pizzino, questa debolezza delle altcoin significa che solo le più forti parteciperanno in modo significativo al prossimo mercato rialzista. Gli investitori dovrebbero essere selettivi e attendere segnali tecnici chiari prima di acquistare cali di altcoin.
Pizzino ha considerato anche fattori macro più ampi come l’indice S&P 500, l’indice del dollaro statunitense e gli indici di volatilità. Ha osservato che, nonostante i timori di recessione, questi indicatori di mercato si sono stabilizzati e hanno iniziato a consolidarsi in un intervallo. Ciò supporta la tesi di una graduale ripresa degli asset rischiosi come le criptovalute, anche se probabilmente solo nel 2024-2025.
