The venture arm of crypto exchange OKX recently co-led a $12M investment in ZK hardware acceleration project, Cysic. In other news, WeatherXM secured $7.7M for its decentralized weather network, while Switchboard raised $7.5M for its customizable oracle network. GaiaNet, an AI infrastructure project, raised $10M to decentralize AI agent software. DeFi Technologies is set to stake nearly $100 million in Bitcoin (BTC) on Core Chain's validator node. The Toronto-based firm will earn rewards for validating transactions and staking via its subsidiary, Valour. The staking process is facilitated by Core's Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible consensus mechanism on its layer-1, BTC-powered blockchain. Stakers retain custody of their BTC throughout the lockup period and earn rewards in CORE token, which is reinvested in the product.
