In response to the devastating flooding caused by Storm Boris in Central Europe, Binance Charity is airdropping up to $1,500,000 in BNB to Binance users identified as living in the areas most affected by the disaster.
Identification of the users will be based on Proof of Address (POA) completed by September 18th, 2024, indicating that they live in the areas of Poland, Romania, and Czechia that were most badly affected. Users who are identified as living in these areas will each receive $50 in BNB directly to their Binance account.
We recognize that there may be many users in the affected areas who have not yet completed POA. Therefore, for any existing user who completes POA after September 18th, 2024, and before October 11th, 2024 we will additionally donate $25 in BNB directly to their Binance account. For more detailed information, please refer to the FAQ.
The first batch of funds will start reaching our users by October 1, 2024.
Kyrylo Khomyakov, Binance's General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, said: “The impact of flooding in Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania has been devastating, destroying homes, possessions and, sadly, taking lives. We are aiming to bring some support to those affected. We hope that our users who receive these donations can put them to best use locally, whether for the needs of themselves or their loved ones or for the local communities where it is needed most.”
Binance stands by its users, and we will continue to work on additional ways to help affected members of our community.
