根據 Zombit 此前報導，外媒 CoinDesk 在一份報導中披露 EigenLayer 員工發送「地址名單」施壓外部項目方，藉此收取數百萬鎂代幣空投，此事件在社群中引發討論。
針對此事，EigenLayer 生態計畫 eOracle 的創辦人 Matan Sibon 對這份報導提出質疑。

Matan 表示，CoinDesk 的副主編 Sam Kessler 上週曾以「再質押技術文章」的名義與他聯繫並進行採訪。然而，採訪過程中，Sam Kessler 不斷把話題引導到「Eigen Labs 團隊是否曾向生態項目施壓，要求對方向他們空投代幣」，儘管 Matan 一再否認，並指出他認為Altlayer、Renzo、Ether.fi 等項目都不太可能有受到施壓，但這些回應並未出現在CoinDesk 的報導中。
Matan 在推文中說道：
「揭露利益衝突是一回事，指控某團隊濫用權力向生態中的其他項目施壓以「牟利」則是另一回事。Sam Kessler 和 CoinDesk 如果能收回這些指控或提供施壓的證據，那將是值得稱讚的行為。」
不過，也有業界人士認為，這種向合作方索取額度的行為，在這個產業並不是什麼新鮮事。Polygon 資訊長 Mudit Gupta 就在 X 上發文表示，人們對 Eigen Labs 員工向生態子專案索要空投感到恐慌，但實際上 90% 的 Layer1 與 Layer2 BD 團隊都會以顧問名義直接索要股份或空投。
