About Strike (STRK)
Strike Finance is an open-source, decentralized money market platform on the Ethereum blockchain that allows users to borrow cryptocurrencies with over-collateralized assets. The platform also enables the tokenization of assets and purportedly facilitates their liquidation. The Strike protocol is governed by the ERC-20 token $STRK. As a result, it utilizes Proof-of-Stake for block validation - since the Ethereum Merge.
The Strike platform allows users to check the Strike coin price and supply and borrow cryptocurrencies to the protocol within the Ethereum ecosystem in a non-custodial environment, allowing users to maintain control of their digital assets at all times.
The entirety of the Strike protocol is operated by its community, with no centralized control and no team exercising authority over the protocol's governance. Governance of the platform is done through the use of the STRK token, giving holders the ability to propose changes to the protocol parameters, debate, and vote on whether to implement changes suggested by others, all without the involvement of the Strike team. Parameters may include choosing which cryptocurrencies to add support for, adjusting collateral factors, and making changes to STRK token allocation. The Strike protocol requires a minimum of 65,000 STRK to form proposals and 130,000 STRK to get approved.
Strike Finance partners include Immunefi, Shopify, Blackhawk, and NCR. The current price of STRK is updated and live-tracked on Binance in real-time.
