Hackers Recovered $3 Million Worth Wallet Password.🙉

In a fascinating turn of events that could easily be part of a Hollywood movie script, a bitcoin owner found themselves locked out of their wallet containing a substantial 43.6 BTC, worth just under $3 million. The plot thickened as the owner sought help from none other than a renowned hacker named Joe Grand, also known as Kingpin in the hacking community.

The intriguing saga, first brought to light by Kim Zetter for Wired, unfolded when the wallet owner, known only as Michael, reached out to Joe Grand in 2022. Joe Grand has gained notoriety for his knack for recovering lost bitcoin from inaccessible wallets. While Grand typically declines such requests due to his primary role as a consultant helping developers secure their systems, the intricate circumstances of Michael's case caught his attention.

The issue was a complex password generated using the RoboForm password manager, encrypted with TrueCrypt. However, a twist of fate led to the encrypted password file getting corrupted with no backup in place. Michael's reluctance to store the password in RoboForm for fear of potential hacking ironically contributed to the predicament.
After meticulous months of work, Grand and his team unearthed a security flaw in an outdated version of RoboForm's password generation mechanism. By exploiting this flaw, they were able to narrow down the search to the password generated on May 15, 2013.
Despite challenges and dead ends, perseverance paid off, leading to the successful recovery of the password. The revelation sparked a significant moment for Michael, allowing access to his bitcoin reserves. Subsequently, Michael cashed out some of the bitcoin, leaving him with 30 BTC to potentially capitalize on the cryptocurrency market's fluctuations.

Depositary Trust and Clearance Company Lists #BlackRocks Ethereum (ETF).

Under the ETHA (DeFi ecosystem built on Etherium and Polkadot) ticker,DTCC listed  BlackRock's spot Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF). 

On Thursday 24/May, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved 19b-4s forms from several Ethereum ETFs from issuers as BlackRock and other firms. Which is now engaging with potential issuers over S-1 registration statements. 

To Start trading 19b-4 approval isn’t enough, but the approval of S-1 documents also need tobe approved which might take couple of weeks.

Despite the fact of all news which created hype after approval, Etherium is now gaining and currently trading at $3,750 on Binance.

Exchnages Like Nasdaq, NYSE, and CBO, requested in combined proposal to SEC regarding further changes in existing rules to allow the trading of Ethereum Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs) and ETFs.

However, this is second decision in 2024 from SEC regarding ETP’s. Which after a long hearing approved $BTC ETFs and ETPs.

Once a person bought pizza in replace of Bitcoin Alasss!!, May 22 marks the anniversary of the day a Florida man paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas. The day has become legendary, first because it was the first commercial use of bitcoins, but more so because of Bitcoin’s worth in the following years. For the two pizzas, the man in question paid a fortune at today's prices.

Laszlo Hanyecz, the Florida man, paid 10,000 bitcoins for the delivery of two Papa John’s pizzas. He offers bitcoin in transaction for just 2 large pizza’s ones for present day and day after.

A British man took up Hanyecz’s offer and bought the two pizzas for him in exchange for 10,000 bitcoins. Even then, the recipient of the bitcoins got a bargain, paying about $25 for the pizzas, while 10,000 bitcoins were then worth around $41.

Despite the massive rise in the price of Bitcoin, Hanyecz says he is not phased about his deal. “It wasn’t like bitcoins had any value back then, so the idea of trading them for a pizza was incredibly cool." So what else should be done after.
