⚠️ MT.GOX PREPARES TO DISTRIBUTE BITCOIN
It appears that the decade-long saga of Mt.Gox may be drawing to a close. Recent reports from Arkham on May 28 revealed a significant development: Mt.Gox initiated a transaction totaling $9.62 billion worth of BTC from numerous wallets. This event marked the first movement of these funds in over five years.
On the same day, Mt.Gox’s trustee issued a statement, confirming that the transfer was a crucial step in the preparation of Bitcoin repayments to creditors. Former Mt.Gox CEO Mark Karpeles further clarified that the movement of funds was an integral part of the distribution process. Notably, Mt.Gox’s final repayment deadline looms on October 31, 2024.
