1️⃣ Fortinet: A new multi-stage attack, spreading remote access Trojans and cryptocurrency wallet grabbers, utilizes phishing messages disguised as invoices. 🛡️

2️⃣ CoinDesk: Security specialist Shakib Ahmed, accused of hacking into the yield farming protocol Nirvana Finance and an unnamed #DEX (presumably Cream Finance), has been sentenced to three years in prison in the United States. This is the first-ever verdict related to an attack on the DeFi segment. 🔒

3️⃣ Bangkok Post: A provincial court in Phuket has sentenced five Russians to prison terms for the kidnapping of a Belarusian couple with the aim of extorting 31 million baht (approximately $845,700) in cryptocurrency. The defendants, initially denying involvement in the attack, fully confessed during the investigation. Each of them received two years in prison and was obligated to return the stolen funds. 💰
