What to expect from the fourth halving?

🚀 On April 20, the long-awaited halving of bitcoin will take place. CoinGecko published a study on the dynamics of the BTC price after each of the events.

The first halving occurred on November 28, 2012. The miners' reward decreased to 25 BTC. After that, the value of bitcoin rose from $12 to $1,075, or 8,858%, in one year. Inflation dropped from 25.75% to 12%.

The reward was split in half for the second time on July 9, 2016, to 12.5 BTC. In one year, the price of the first cryptocurrency jumped from $650 to $2,560, or 294%. Inflation fell from 8.7% to 4.1%.

And the last one is May 11, 2020. Miners began receiving 6.25 BTC per mined block, and the bitcoin exchange rate soared from $8,727 to $55,847, or 540%, in one year. Inflation fell from 3.7% to 1.8%.
