According to Odaily, a British man named Jack Edward Finney has been found guilty of selling lethal weight loss pills. The Cheshire Cyber Crime Investigation Team seized Monero coins worth £15,000 (approximately $19,350) from him. These tokens were later sold by the Food Standards Agency through an undisclosed 'cryptocurrency trading platform', converting them into British pounds. This process took nearly three years from the time Finney was convicted.

It is reported that this is the first time Monero coins have been sold for cash in the UK. The drug dealer was sentenced to 28 months in prison and has been forced to surrender assets worth £23,000. If he fails to do so, he will face an additional eight months in prison.
