Bitcoin’s Drop to Under $64K Results in Over $200 Million in Liquidations Bitcoin’s price stood tall above $66,000 for a few days and even challenged $67,000 on a couple of occasions but to no avail. The subsequent rejection brought enhanced pain for the bulls and over-leveraged traders with long positions, as the total value of liquidations on a daily scale has soared to more than $200 million. However, the altcoins also have a big say in this, as most have plummeted even more than bitcoin Last week was quite painful for the primary cryptocurrency as the asset plunged below $60,000 on two separate occasions amid the ongoing growing tension between Iran and Israel. As the former said it will refrain from retaliating, at least for now, bitcoin’s price regained a lot of value and jumped to around $65,000 by the time the fourth halving was completed. Since then, BTC was gradually increasing in value and jumped to over $67,000 on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Yet, the bears stepped up at this point and reversed bitcoin’s trajectory. In a matter of a few hours, the asset slumped to $64,500 before another leg down pushed it to a multi-day low of under $63,600. Despite recovering a few hundred grand since then, BTC is still well in the red at just over $64,000. Even more painful declines are evident from the likes of Solana (-7%), Toncoin (-7%), Dogecoin (-7%), Avalanche (-10%), Shiba Inu (-8%), and many others. The auction ran for a week, ending on April 24, just after 11:00 pm UTC. The sign was offered up by Christian Langalis, who wrote it out and flashed it to the camera after nabbing a seat behind Yellen at a televised House Financial Services Committee hearing in July 2017. Langalis was escorted out after photobombing Yellen, as signs are not allowed to be displayed during hearings. Bitcoin ETF Volume At Four Week High, But Net Inflows Turn Negative Again Yesterday, Bitcoin ETFs experienced significant net outflows amounting to $121 million, with Grayscale's ETF GBTC leading the way with a $130 million outflow. Activity in the US Bitcoin ETF market has surged once more as Hong Kong prepares to launch its spot Bitcoin ETFs on April 30. On Wednesday, April 24, net outflows of $120 million were recorded for spot Bitcoin ETFs, coinciding with trading volumes reaching a four-week peak. Bitcoin ETF Volume Nears $4 Billion According to recent data from on-chain analytics firm Santiment, Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) volume has surged, hitting its highest daily total in the last four weeks at $3.62 billion. The net flows into spot BTC ETFs have returned to negative territory once again. Yesterday, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw significant movement in net flows, with total net outflows amounting to $121 million, as per data from Farside Investors. Grayscale’s ETF GBTC experienced the largest net outflow, totaling $130 million in a single day. Conversely, Fidelity’s ETF FBTC emerged as the Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest net inflow, recording $5.61 million in net inflows within the same period. Following closely behind, the ETF ARKB by Ark Invest and 21Shares observed a net inflow of $4.17 million in a single day. Interestingly, BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF IBIT recorded zero net inflows for the very first time since inception, and 70consecutive days of inflows. As of data, BlackRock’s IBIT holds more than $15.4 billion worth of Bitcoin. On the other hand, HashKey Exchange has declared the successful completion of the inaugural cryptocurrency subscription for Hong Kong Bosera International and HashKey Capital’s Bitcoin spot ETF and Ethereum spot ETF. Cryptocurrency redemption entails the retention of underlying assets without immediate sale, offering cost and liquidity benefits. Commencing today, Hong Kong cryptocurrency ETFs have initiated fundraising activities and are scheduled for listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange come April 30th. #BTC
