Toyota plans to launch a cutting-edge city powered by AI and advanced robotics this year. The futuristic city, named “Woven City,” will serve as a testing ground for various technologies like autonomous vehicles, smart homes, and AI-powered infrastructure.

The project will be located on the site of a former factory in Japan and will be home to around 2,000 residents, including Toyota employees and their families, as well as scientists, and industry partners.

Woven City will feature futuristic technology integrated into all aspects of daily life, including sensors, robotics, and AI. The city will prioritize sustainability and will run on hydrogen fuel cells.

Toyota’s goal is to create a unique living laboratory where researchers and engineers can test and develop new technologies in a real-world environment. The city will allow for testing of autonomous vehicles on actual streets, as well as the testing of AI in a variety of applications.

With Woven City, Toyota aims to push the boundaries of technology and create a blueprint for future smart cities around the world.
