The transfer of 107,520 BTC worth $7.3 billion crashed the market down to $67,500.
For the first time in 5 years, the bankrupt exchange Mt. Gox is transferring funds to an external wallet. Such large volumes have scared investors, but the exchange still has approximately 138,000 BTC worth $9.3 billion remaining.
Everyone fears that Mt. Gox will start distributing these bitcoins, and the victims of the exchange hack, upon receiving these bitcoins, will begin to sell them off.
